Community Service

NSSLHA members volunteer at a variety of places throughout the Cincinnati community including Little Sister’s of the Poor, Ronald McDonald House, Cincinnati Children’s Craft Lunch-and-Learn, and a few other service sites. For a detailed description of our community service sites, please take a look at the NSSLHA Community Service Description sheet.

If you are looking for other ways to get involved in the Cincinnati community, check out UC’s Center for Community Engagement for weekly service opportunities, spring break trips, and more! Additionally, the Volunteer Department at Children’s is looking for more volunteers for the Speech Department! If interested, email Lauren Collins at lauren.collins@cchmc.org or Erika Bussard at bussarem@mail.uc.edu.

For the Spring 2017 semester, NSSLHA has great volunteering opportunities lined up! Sign up quickly to reserve your spot because some events are limited on the amount of people that can attend. Please initially sign up for only two events to give our other members an opportunity to be involved. To volunteer with us, sign up online on the NSSLHA Community Service Sign Up Excel Sheet. The tabs on the bottom show the date of the event, the event name, location, and time are labeled on the top left of each sheet. Please, only sign up for an event that you KNOW 100% you can attend! Extra points will be given to members who drive to the event. If you need to cancel, please contact Allison Flanigan at flanigao@mail.uc.edu at a minimum of 24 hours before the event. Please do not just remove your name!
